Interactive video device that was designed to explore the relationship between human actions and the image reception.
Four strings are hanging out of a hole in a white box. Above the box is a monitor displaying an image of a fork. When the participant pulls a string, the fork in the monitor begins to bend in various shapes according to the movement of the string.
The weight and length of the strings are synchronized with the video. This evokes the physical feeling that the video image and participant's hand are connected.

In this work, I tried to represent my first experience of linking myself to something apart by the string lottery in summer festival when I was a child through this video device, which provides a physical feedback.
This creates a sensation of being physically linked even if the two are separated from each other via the computer.
